Greta Thunberg's Message to Scotland
In June, I traveled to Stockholm to film an interview with climate activist Greta Thunberg for the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
Greta's climate activism has inspired thousands of people around the world so it was an incredible opportunity to be able to go and meet with her and capture an interview with her on film. I was working with a team from the Royal Scottish Geographical Society (RSGS) to do this and we all agreed that we would travel from Scotland to Stockholm without using air travel.
This meant taking four trains, three buses and two ferries over a period of two days. After a night bus from Copenhagen to Stockholm we made it to where we had arranged to meet Greta. I captured our journey and Greta's interview and edited it into this short piece for the RSGS.
It was such a joy to interview her and she made some great comments on the responsibility of older generations, the need for governments to take greater action and, ultimately, how urgent the issue of climate change is.
We all certainly left feeling very inspired and driven to take more action on climate change in our own lives.
